In World vs. Real World
Virtual society allows you a variety of freedoms and experiences. There is very little limitation on physical capabilities and attributes and if you find yourself in a situation that makes you uncomfortable - just teleport to a new location. The instant self-gratification that permeates in this game can cause the player to lose sight of what is 'real.' It becomes very easy for someone with a susceptible personality (i.e. lonely, introverted, etc.) to lose themselves in the virtual world. Real life experiences build character that Second Life experiences would not, the good and the bad - like getting married, having children, dealing with stress, setting goals and achieving them. Living in Second Life you miss out on the physical sensory experiences such as the smell of the ocean, the touch of your child or the exhilaration you feel after a great workout.
